Brazil America Council: Bridging Brazilian Businesses and Culture in the United States
Founded in 2017, the Brazil America Council (BAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering Brazilian entrepreneurs to establish and grow their businesses in the United States. Navigating the complexities of international business is no small feat, and few organizations offer the specialized support BAC provides. Our mission is to guide Brazilian professionals through the challenges of relocating and succeeding in a new market while fostering a deep appreciation for Brazilian culture and heritage.

Our Founding Vision and Legacy
The Brazil America Council was born from the vision of extraordinary individuals, including Amy Litter (in memoriam), a towering figure in the Brazilian community whose generosity touched countless lives. Alongside her, our community liaison, Ademar Rodrigues (in memoriam), played a pivotal role in shaping BAC, ensuring every legal and organizational detail was meticulously addressed while championing our mission far and wide. Their legacy continues to inspire our work.
Since our inception, BAC has forged strong partnerships with government bodies, amplifying our impact and reach. A highlight of our journey was the Brazil America Summit, a hallmark event that, in 2019, brought Brazilian Senator Alvaro Dias to Orlando. His advocacy led to the opening of the Brazilian Consulate in Orlando, a milestone for our community.
Resilience Through Challenges
Like many organizations, BAC faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, which paused our operations and limited community networking in Orlando. Despite this hiatus, we are now revitalizing our efforts with renewed energy. Guided by experienced and respected community leaders, BAC is restructuring to continue serving as a beacon for Brazilian entrepreneurs.
